Gül is the name of the video’s main character, a woman who was made to get married at the age of 14. Tired of her husband’s beatings, she runs away from home and joins a circus.

 

The seven-minute video is an interview between Eğrikavuk and Gül, who is actually played by an actress. Yet, her own story carries great similarities with the character she is playing and the two stories mix into each-other, leaving the audience to decide where truth lies.
